What is IKO?
The International Kiteboarding Organization (IKO) is a global entity dedicated to kitesurfing. Established in 2001, IKO’s mission is to promote safety and standardization in kiteboarding instruction. Its primary activities include instructor training and certification, as well as the development of international standards to ensure the sport is practiced safely and responsibly. IKO also provides a structured progression system for practitioners, allowing them to acquire skills gradually and safely.
